일단 비후성 흉터가 되면 치료가 쉽지는 않습니다.
단순히 레이저로 흉터를 깎아 내기만 해서는

최근에 저희 병원에서는 코의 비후성 흉터에 대해
일단 흉터를 레이저로 깊이 깎아 내고
다시 올라오는 것을 예방하는 레이저 치료를 해서 효과를 보고 있습니다.
상처가 생겼을 때 흉터가 생기는 것은
진화의 과정에서 우리 몸을 보호하기 위해
어쩔 수 없이 만들어진 진화의 과정으로 여겨집니다.
의학이 발달하기 전에는 상처가 생길 경우
감염이나 심한 조직 손상 때문에 생명이 위험해질 수 있어서
가능한 빨리 복구를 해야 할 필요가 있습니다.
그래서 정상 조직보다 만들기 쉬운 흉터 조직을 만들어 복구를 했던 것입니다.
하지만 의학이 발달한 요즘은 그럴 필요가 없어졌는데도
진화론적으로 흉터를 만드는 형태로 상처 재생이 일어나기 때문에
미용적으로 원치 않는 흉터가 생겨서 문제입니다.

이런 원리를 이용하여 코의 비후성 흉터를 치료하는 것입니다.
일단 흉터를 깊게 깎아냅니다.
표면만 편평해 지도록 깎아서는
남은 흉터가 증식하면서 다시 그대로 재발하기 때문입니다.
이렇게 깎아 낸 후에는 상처가 아물자 마자(대개 깍아내고 1주 후부터)
바로 흉터 예방을 위한 레이저 치료를 시작합니다.
이렇게 2주 정도 간격으로 여러 차례(대개 5회 정도) 치료하면
흉터가 다시 올라 오지 않고 좋아지는 경우가 대부분입니다.
처음 치료를 할 때는 흉터를 깎아 내야 하므로
듀오덤을 1주일 정도 붙여야 합니다.
꼭 붙여야 하는 것은 아니지만 붙이면 피부 재생에 도움이 됩니다.
흉터를 깎고 1주 후에 시작하는 예방을 위한 레이저 치료 후에는
치료 부위가 1-3일 정도 붉어지는 것 이외에 다른 불편은 없어서
일상 생활에 별 지장을 주지는 않습니다.
처음 치료하고 대략 3주 정도면 흉터가 있던 부위 피부가 차 올라서 편평해 지기 시작합니다.
아직 약간 붉은 기가 있어서 표시가 좀 나기는 하지만요.
이렇게 치료를 하면 거의 정상처럼 되거나
많이 좋아져서 눈에 훨씬 덜 띄는 상태가 될 수 있습니다.
턱의 비후성 흉터도 이런 치료 방법으로 좋아질 수 있으리라 생각합니다.
다만 코에 비해 턱은 흉터가 더 잘 생기는 부위이고
