금년 4월부터 아마 안면홍조/주사 증상이 심해졌나 보네요.
눈이 충혈되거나 따갑거나 화끈거리는 증상도 주사에서 동반될 수 있는 증상입니다.
우태하 피부과에서 레이저 치료와 함께 스테로이드 성분의 약을 처방받아 발랐다면
아마도 안면홍조/주사와 함께 피부염이 같이 있었으리라 생각합니다.
안면홍조/주사에 단기간 스테로이드 연고를 쓸 수 있지만
장기간 사용하도록 하지는 않기 때문입니다.
안면홍조/주사는 피부 진피의 혈관이 과도하게 늘어나서 생기는 질환이고
지루 피부염은 피부 표피에 염증이 생기는 것입니다.
얼굴이 항상 붉고 여러 가지 자극에 대해 쉽게 그리고 심하게 얼굴이 붉어지는 현상은
안면홍조/주사에 의해 나타납니다.
하지만 얼굴 피부가 붉어지면서 가렵고 각질이 일어난다는 증상 등은
피부염에 의한 것입니다.
두가지 질환은 원인과 치료법이 다릅니다.
안면홍조/주사 치료의 기본은 얼굴이 붉어질 수 있는 자극을 피하고
먹는 약과 바르는 약을 사용하면서
늘어난 혈관을 줄일 수 있는 IPL 같은 치료를 하는 것입니다.
피부염이 심해지면 혈관을 늘어나도록 자극하므로
피부염도 악화요인 중의 하나여서 피부염 조절을 해야 합니다.
피부염이 심한 상태에서는 IPL 치료를 하기도 어렵습니다
피부에 자극이 될 수 있어서입니다.
피부염 치료는 가렵지 않도록 항히스타민제를 복용하고
피부염을 좋아지게 하기 위한 연고를 바르는 것이 기본입니다.
하지만 실제로 안면홍조/주사와 피부염을 같이 앓는 경우가 많습니다.
주사는 아주 흔하지 않지만 지루 피부염은 워낙 흔하기 때문입니다.
두가지 질환이 서로 관계 없지만
진행되면 서로 악영향을 미치기 때문에 같이 치료해야 합니다.
문제는 둘 중의 하나로만 진단을 하고 치료하는 경우입니다.
지루 피부염 치료에 사용하는 스테로이드 연고를 오래 쓰면
주사가 악화될 수 있습니다.
주사만 생각하고 치료하면 피부염에 자극이 되는 연고를 사용해서
피부염이 더 심해지고 결과적으로 주사도 악화될 수 있습니다.
따라서 현재 상태를 정확하게 파악하고
주사와 피부염이 같이 있다면 두가지를 동시에 치료해야 합니다.
어느 한가지만 생각하고 치료해서는 좋은 결과를 얻기 어려워서입니다.
기본적으로 얼굴이 붉어질 수 있는 자극을 가능한 피하면서
현재 상태에 맞는 먹는 약과 바르는 약을 사용해야 합니다.
여기에 더해서 늘어난 혈관을 줄여주는 IPL 같은 치료를 해야 하겠지요.
IPL 치료는 한번으로도 효과가 나타날 수 있지만
어느 정도 수준까지 좋아지려면 반복 치료가 필요합니다.
최소한 2-3회 정도 치료는 하는 것이 좋다고 생각합니다.
치료 간격은 통상 3주이지만 2주 간격으로 또는 4주 간격으로 하기도 합니다.
