1. 피지조절제를 복용할 경우 비정상적인 흉터가 생길 수 있으므로
레이저 치료나 수술 같은 것을 피하라는 주의가 있었습니다.
그런데 그런 주의가 두렷한 근거가 없었고
실제 피지 조절제를 복용하는 경우에 레이저 치료를 해도 별 문제가 없다는 임상 경험이 쌓이면서
그런 주의가 별로 의미가 없다는 논문들이 최근에 나오고 있습니다.
우리 나라에서는 20여년 전부터 피지 조절제를 복용하시는 분들에 대한 레이저 치료 등이 이뤄져 왔었고
저도 별 문제가 없다고 생각합니다.
다만, 별 문제가 없다는 것이 절대적인 것은 아닙니다.
원래 레이저 치료 후에는 흉터가 생길 가능성이 거의 없는데 비해
성형 수술 후에는 흉터가 생기는 것이 당연한 것인데
개개인의 피부 상태나 체질에 따라 흉터의 정도가 달라집니다.
따라서 피지 조절약을 복용하는 중에 수술받고 좀 이상한 흉터가 생겼을 경우
약 때문에 그런 것이 아닌가라는 자책감이 들 수 있습니다.
굳이 이런 가능성을 만들 필요는 없겠지요.
수술이 아주 급한 것이 아니라면 약을 끊고 2개월 정도 지난 후에 수술을 받는 것이 좋을 듯 합니다.
